A princess story- Part 3

"Lily, where are you from?" I asked the maid after she helped me into my nightclothes.
"I've always lived in the palace, Your Highness," Lily replied.
"And who is Lady Aquilla?" I questioned.
"Lady Aquilla is the wife of Lord Patrick," Lily explained.
"Why did you think she was in your room?" I asked.
"Because you look just like her! Although, if you are from Norway, you obviously couldn't be her," Lily exclaimed.
"Do you have any idea how old she is?" I was interrogating Lily, as many questions as I was asking of her.
"Maybe 16, Your Highness," Lily replied.
"Oh, please, Lily. Call me Elise," I sighed.
"Yes, Your Highness, I mean, Elise," Lily fumbled with her words.
"Lily, what do you know about Lady Aquilla?" I asked. I was asking all this, because I had a identical twin at birth, but she was kidnapped before the age of one. I was 16, for goodness sake!
"Well, her birthday is May 26th, she is 16 years old, married to Lord Patrick, and came from Germany before she got married," Lily told me.
"Can I meet her to talk with her sometime soon?" I questioned.
"I'm sure you could meet her tomorrow, Elise," Lily sighed.
"Alright, thank you, and a good night to you," I yawned.

A princess story- Part 2

While the housekeeper was fetching Lily, I decided to write in my journal for a few moments. This is what I wrote: Dear Diary,
Here in England, at King William's country estate, I am to marry Prince Edward. Apparently, he (Prince Edward) is very different from his parents, who are extremely greedy and wasteful with their money. Prince Edward is the opposite, he wants to give all his money to the poor and needy. Not that that is a bad thing, just he would give so much that he would become poor and needy. Yes, I will have my hands full when I become queen.
   Princess Elise of Norway
"Lady Aquilla, why are you in my room?" a servant girl asked.
"Lady Aquilla? Who in the world is that?" I looked at her, stunned.
"You are Lady Aquilla, are you not?" the maid questioned.
"No, girl, I am not Lady Aquilla. I am Princess Elise of Norway, come to wed Prince Edward of England. I am Lily's roommate for the time being," I replied in a haughty voice.
"I am Lily, and very pleased to meet you, Your Highness," Lily curtsied.
"I see you know some proper etiquette," I said in a disgusted tone, not wanting her to know I liked her.
"Yes, I have been trained by Lady Fallon Lee in all things proper," Lily said in her haughtiest tone.
   "Impressive," I said sarcastically.
   "Thank you," Lily smirked.
"I didn't really mean that, hope you realized that," I growled.
   "What?" Lily looked VERY puzzled.
"Help me get ready for bed, already," I ordered.

A princess story

"Princess, right this way," the housekeeper said to me.
"I'm coming, servant," I replied. I know I have a temper, but on that particular day, it was the worst it has been in years.
"Here is your room. You shall be sharing it with Lily," the housekeeper told me.
"Sharing! A bedroom! With a SERVANT?" I screamed.
"Yes, you have to share a bedroom with a servant," the housekeeper sighed as she opened the door to a bedroom that had one bed.
"Please don't tell me I have to share my bed, also!" I shouted.
"You're right, you don't have to share your bed. You have to share Lily's bed," the housekeeper smiled.
"Oh, puh-lease! Why can't some of the servants share a bed?" I protested.
"Because, Lily is the only one that has her own bed, all the other servants have to share beds already!" the housekeeper explained.
"And why is there not enough beds in this castle for everyone?" I questioned.
"Because the king and queen spend all the money on themselves, and leave nothing for us servants," the housekeeper replied.
"I don't think I want to get married to the prince, if everybody is THAT greedy," I plopped down on the narrow bed.
"He's very kind, and wishes he could give everything to us servants, so he needs a little restraint. If he was king, all by himself, the servants here would be richer than him," the housekeeper explained to me.
"Oh, so he needs someone to help him make WISE decisions. Not that giving is foolish, or anything," I thought aloud.
"Well, too much giving is somewhat foolish," the housekeeper explained.
   "Right," I sighed.
"Good night, princess. I'll have Lily come in here and help you undress," the housekeeper smiled.
   "Good night," I smiled back.

Ooh, writer's block!

Don't you just hate writer's block? I've had a very bad case for the past month now. I can write, but all of it is so very cheesy. I don't know what it is! But I just can't concentrate on the stories, so everything is cheesy. I don't really think there's much to do about writer's block, so I guess most of my posts will be already written quizzes, or complaints like this. I'm off to see if I can write something good!

I don't like this winter!

Tonight, some of my friends and I are supposed to have a sledding party. It's 43°F and climbing. I don't think there'll be too much snow by tonight. *Sigh*
It's like this; Snow, melt, snow snow, melt, snow snow snow, melt melt melt. And it's been like that all winter long! I repeat, *Sigh*.
See ya later!

SOPA and PIPA

Don't let the government take over the internet! If SOPA and PIPA go through, there will be no Wikipedia, Google, Blogger (it's powered by GOOGLE!), eBay, Craigslist, and many other free websites. Tell the government that you don't want SOPA and PIPA to go through! Google has a petition here: https://www.google.com/landing/takeaction/. Or you could send an e-mail to your representatives, or call them. I signed the petition and e-mailed my representatives. What will you do to stop SOPA and PIPA? I'm challenging you to do something!

Dune Climb

Here's today's story.
"Emily, how much farther is it?" I asked my sister one day when we were hiking to a picnic spot she wanted to go to.
"Not much farther, Opal!" Emily called back from her perch on one of the many dunes that surrounded us.
"Where is it?!" I questioned. All I saw were dunes. There wasn't any good picnic spots anywhere close to here. Or so I thought.
"Just over this dune!" Emily said. I started running up the sand hill that people called dunes.
"Oh! Is it that flat spot right there?" I asked Emily.
"Yeah, Opal. Isn't it so pretty?" Emily replied.
"Oh, yes it is! And in a few minutes, there'll be a magnificent sunset," I said.

Emily and I sat down after we spread out the picnic. Just then, from the direction of the bay, came three girls who looked quite weary.
"Who are they? They don't look familiar, and it's way to early for any new settlers. It looks like their even wearing trousers, but they clearly have long hair!" I asked my sister.
"I don't know, Opal. I know just as much as you do!" Emily said.

Soon the girls reached where we were having our picnic. "Who are you?" I asked them.
"I'm Hannah, this is Jessica, and this is Mia. They're my sisters," the oldest girl said.
"Hello. My name is Emily, and this is my younger sister, Opal," Emily introduced herself.
"Hi. Pleased to meet you," I said.
   "You too," Hannah said.
"Hannah, I wanna go home! This isn't anywhere near our house, I'm sure of it!" Jessica whined.
"Yeah, Hannah, I want to go home!" Mia echoed her older sister.
